Holy Trinity Catholic School is located in Bay St. Louis, MS,
and is a Catholic School within the Diocese of Biloxi. The school,
first known as Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic School, and then Bay
Catholic Elementary, is now known as Holy Trinity. The new name
following Hurricane Katrina, representing the consolidation of
Pre-K3 through 6th grade students from Our Lady of the Gulf,
St. Rose of Lima, and St. Clare parishes, is so appropriate since we are now three schools combined into one.
HTCS is accredited through SACS, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and is a member of NCEA, the National Catholic Educators Association and the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce.
We currently have 323 students from 200 families. HTCS students are offered a challenging curriculum with all of the standard subjects – English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Reading, and Spelling, all presented within the context of traditional Catholic teachings through Religion classes. In addition, our students participate in Art, Computer Science, Library, Music and Physical Education. This year, we added a 2-Year Old Mothers Day Out Program. Our faculty consists of twenty-four teachers, six teacher’s aides, and six support staff members.
Our students now enjoy a newly renovated Main School Building as well as a new second building that houses the school’s Early Childhood Development Center and a new cafeteria.
A new curriculum was instituted at the school four years ago and the students have continued to improve in their grades and standardized testing scores.
The school’s logo is shown at the top of this page. Each graphic on the emblem has a specific meaning. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are represented by the extended hands, cross, and the dove. The lighthouse represents the symbol used by the Diocese of Biloxi, as well as our location along the Gulf Coast. The globe was included to represent that we are a part of Catholic education throughout the world.
The school is still accepting applications in grades PK3 – 6.
